Scholarships for Healthcare Education

Our scholarship opportunities help offset tuition costs with which the recipients can prioritize their studies and work towards improving patient outcomes. These scholarships cater to various specialties within the healthcare industry. We offer:

  • General Healthcare Scholarships: Open to all healthcare professionals striving to advance their education. You can gain a degree, attend a certification program, or participate in specialized training through our medical scholarships.
  • Nursing Scholarships: For nurses aiming to obtain advanced degrees such as BSN, MSN, MPH, or M.D., or specializing in areas like trauma or pediatrics, these scholarships reduce the burden of tuition costs.
  • Emergency Medical Scholarships: Aimed at paramedics, EMTs, and other medical first aid responders pursuing further education to enhance their emergency care and management skills.
  • Allied Health Scholarships: Open to those working in or training for careers as physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technicians, physician assistants, and more allied roles.

Eligibility

To qualify for scholarships through Healthcare Higher Education, Inc., applicants must:

  • Hold a current EMS certification from a state or national registry (specific to the Glynn Lookabill Memorial EMS Scholarship only).
  • Be pursuing a baccalaureate degree program (this requirement may vary for other scholarships).
  • Demonstrate a commitment to advancing in the healthcare field through further education and training.
  • Exhibit financial need or other qualifying criteria as specified by individual scholarship requirements.
  • Submit a completed application with all required documentation, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.

Application Process

Applicants are required to demonstrate an obligation to healthcare excellence. We highly value community service and hands-on experience in healthcare settings. Applicants should submit the following by the deadline:

  • Completed online application.
  • Academic transcripts.
  • Acceptance letter to an accredited program.
  • References.
  • Personal statement

Award Criteria and Information

We award scholarships based on academic achievement, financial need, and dedication to healthcare service. We aim to support those who show potential for leadership and a genuine desire to improve patient care.

  • Scholarship amounts range from $250-2000 per recipient.
  • Funds are paid directly to the educational institution.
  • Recipients may receive awards for up to 4 consecutive semesters.
